Tim was appointed as an Independent Director onto the Board of Kiwifruit NZ on 11 September 2017.

Tim has 32 years experience in the banking sector, commencing with the Reserve Bank of NZ in 1985, followed by ANZ Bank NZ between 1988 and 2004, and BNZ/National Australia Bank since 2004.

Until 1996, Tim’s career developed as an economist, where he progressed to Chief Economist for ANZ NZ.  Tim then moved into Treasury management where he served as Treasurer for both ANZ NZ and BNZ, including five years in Melbourne as Regional Treasurer for NAB’s retail and business banking operations.  Since 2015, Tim has been the senior advisor to the Chief Financial Officer of BNZ, focusing on corporate governance, financial reporting and risk management.

Tim’s outside interests include property development, where he is a director of a small Auckland based company focused on apartment conversions in the inner city.
